Dissemination action
Carbon Farming: Enhancing the Resilience of Agri-Food Systems
As part of the European project “Carbon Farming Awareness Hub”, NANG organized on October 23rd at the Agricultural University of Athens a dissemination action with a fireside chat on the topic of carbon farming. Specifically, during the panel discussion, the definition of carbon farming, its importance as a tool for mitigating climate change, and the regulatory framework for its implementation will be addressed. The aim of this initiative is to educate, raise awareness, and promote a broader understanding among participants about carbon farming.
The fireside chat organized by NANG successfully highlighted the critical role of carbon farming in climate change mitigation. With 46 participants, including a majority of women (52%), the event fostered engagement and knowledge sharing among diverse stakeholders. The insights provided by experts Georgia Datsi and Dimitris Voloudakis emphasized the potential of organic farming and carbon sequestration innovations. This initiative effectively raised awareness and promoted a deeper understanding of sustainable agricultural practices within the regulatory framework.
