Webinar No 2: Regenerative Agriculture in Practice from Soil Care to Carbon Sequestration
On Wednesday, May 14 2025, the Academy of Entrepreneurship hosted the second webinar in its sustainable agriculture series, titled “Regenarative Agriculture in Practice.” This webinar was organised to explore regenerative agriculture through hands-on experience. Gathering 20 participants to share his ‘on the field’ knowledge and experience, Yannis Zannias, an experienced agribusiness consultant and farmer managed to open the discussion on new regenerative approaches connected to carbon farming!

The webinar focused on the following topics:
Soil-Friendly Farming Techniques, like no till and reduced tillage practices.
Cover Cropping, biomass measurements using the MERCI method and siol structure isung VESS (Visual Evaluation of Soil Structure).
Crop rotation planning.
Alernative & Energy crops, such as camelia, crambe and teff combined with food crops or intercropping.
This webinar highlighted the tangible steps toward implementing carbon farming in real-world settings, demonstrating how regenerative practices, not only restore ecosystems, but also open up new avenues for sustainable entrepreneurship. By bridging innovation, ecology, and business, the session empowered participants with knowledge and inspiration to become active contributors to the green transition of Europe’s agricultural landscape.
